Cristina Căpitanu, co-founder Lemon Interior Design, on the importance of a cosy and balanced interior: „People are nowadays more and more concerned about their homes”

Cristina Căpitanu, Lemon Interior Design co-founder, explains for Forbes Forward why our homes are more important than ever and why we should pay special attention to the places that become the scene for the most important moments of our lives. With a pandemic that has changed our lives overnight, more and more people around the world are becoming aware of the major role of a comfortable house.

”It is an opportunity to look better around us, to enjoy the comfort of one's own home, to look at our homes differently, to realize how important this place is and why it has to gives us - now more than ever - the feeling of harmony, security, tranquillity. In our profession, we work with beauty, and the beauty of the space in which we spend most of our time acquires new valences these days. We used to be so rushed, so absorbed with our problems and daily tasks, that we forgot to think of the beauty of our homes. To some degree, some of us were sometimes passengers in their own homes. Now I think that many of us will realize how important it is to live in a pleasant, harmonious environment that will give you a good state of mind”,

Mrs. Căpitanu believes.

The Lemon Interior Design co-founder has also pointed that her team continues to be active while working from home and the number of requests for interior design projects has not decreased during this period, as people seem to be more concerned about their homes.

”Lemon team is close to all the customers for their various requests and we feel that we can bring them a touch of beauty in these strange times. Interior design is part of our culture, part of the urban culture, and of the personal and intimate one as well. And it is the one we work with every day. Therefore, we strongly believe that we all need beauty around us these days.”
