Le Manoir, a fine gastronomy business group, will operate on a 20-year lease a lodge and 56 ha of forest acquired by One United Properties SA in Măgura, Buzău. The short-term target is to transform it into the first Relais & Châteaux lodge in Romania.

Ziarul Financiar reports that Le Manoir, a business group operating in fine gastronomy, owned by entrepreneur Cristian Preotu, and the real estate developer One United Properties bought the property Carpathian Lodge Măgura, from Buzău County, for EUR 2.35 million.

The property will benefit from renovation and arrangement investments so that it will be ready to receive guests.

"The former owners had been renting the lodge for about two years, but without services. They rented the property in full, as we intend to do as well. The difference is that after the renovation, the house will be entirely rented, with related services, such as a private cook, waiters, and sommelier. We position ourselves as an experience, not as a hotel. There are similar examples in France",

says Cristian Preotu for Ziarul Financiar.
