During the event that analysed the most important trends in the residential market, Beatrice Dumitrașcu pointed out that the rental segment of the residential market in Romania has started to attract the interest of real estate players who are developing such portfolios.
"I used to say until recently that we don't have a real rental market, but we are now starting to have one. There are very large portfolios appearing on the market, with both short-term and long-term rentals developments, which shows that they offer real benefits and that in fact, the residential segment is one of the fields worth investing in 10 years from now it will be even much stronger",
said the CEO of the Residential Division at One United Properties.
She has also pointed out that last year the company sold 599 housing units plus annexes, worth over 169 million euros, and currently has over 3,000 units under development and building permits for another 5,000 units.
"It is certainly a market that is settling down, we will for sure continue to invest because we believe in this market. We have a land portfolio allowing us to develop in the next 10 years, we are also looking carefully at the central area of Bucharest as we are an active developer who wants to be part of Bucharest's story, we want to do real urban regeneration",
Beatrice also added.
