One United Properties (BVB: ONE), one of the leading real estate developers of sustainable residential, office, and mixed-use projects in Romania announces that One Tower office building has received from the US Green Building Council the LEED v4 Building Design and Construction certification, at Platinum level, the highest level provided by this certification.

Part of the multifunctional project One Floreasca City, the A-class office building One Tower differs from the other LEED certified projects in Romania with the highest score obtained, 86 points, according to the current version of the standard. LEED is the most widely used green building appraisal system in the world and an international symbol of excellence, and the certification covers all types of buildings, as well as all construction phases. Projects that pursue LEED certification are scored for the green building strategies they apply, in several categories, and based on the number of points obtained a project wins one of the four LEED rating levels: Certified, Silver, Gold, or Platinum.

As a result of the implementation of the strategies and practical solutions proposed by the LEED standard, One Tower offers tenants the opportunity to operate sustainably, and their employees a healthy and productive workspace. One Tower will operate with significantly lower general costs than conventional buildings, through smart metering, an estimated 35% annual energy cost reduction, and a 50% reduction in drinking water consumption. The project obtained the maximum number of points for the categories Location and Transport, Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, and Indoor Air Quality.

The LEED Platinum certification obtained by One Tower for the design and construction phase is completed by the WELL Health-Safety certification, both processes being coordinated by Colliers consultants.
