In a recent analysis Ziarul Financiar shows that the Americans from BlackRock, the largest investment manager in the world, with assets of 9,400 billion dollars, i.e., 30 times more than Romania's Gross Domestic Product (GDP), is present in the shareholders of nine companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Among these companies is One United Properties, with an investment of 6.4 million lei. In terms of share in the company's share capital, the percentage is 0.17.
Other companies on the BVB in which BlackRock has investments are, just to mention a few, Banca Transilvania, OMV Petrom, Nuclearelectrica, etc. As of July 31, 2023, BlackRock had 517 equity funds, 316 fixed income funds, ETFs (listed mutual funds), hedge funds and others. It is the largest asset manager in the world both in terms of asset value and number of funds on offer.
