Another former industrial site in the Capital, where a brick factory once operated, has now been transformed into an ambitious real estate project, One Lake District.
Over 290 million euros have already been invested in the first two phases of the project, which includes 2,000 new apartments with spectacular views, located in a busy area of Bucharest, but with easy access, having a direct connection to the A3 highway.
Marius Călin, Lead Architect X Architecture & Engineering
“Bucharest has the rare opportunity, which few cities in the world have, to be a city on lakes. Through this development, we discovered both the lakes and the links with the city, the connections with nature, and the associated circulations.”
The project includes several residential buildings, complemented by commercial spaces, service areas, a four-story parking lot, as well as schools, kindergartens, playgrounds, and a promenade that stretches along the lake.
Cosmin Popescu, Executive Director Residential Sales One United Properties
“The view is the most important aspect. But beyond the view, I would like to highlight three key components: residential, commercial, and educational. One Lake District is the first development that combines all three components.”
Another important aspect for energy efficiency is that, in terms of installations, heating and cooling will be provided through geothermal energy, which not only means green energy but also lower costs for the residents.
In addition to the opening towards the lake promenade, a unique feature for developments around the lakes in Bucharest, another key point is the connection between the highway and the city’s lake chain. Until now, this area served a more utilitarian function, but now, through this development, it has become a linking element for all the residents of the area, who will benefit from the advantages of this continuous waterfront.
