Collective dwellings - a contemporary custom of the city structure
The One Herastrau Park building is made up of two towers celebrating through generous consoles the closeness with Floreasca and Herastrau lakes.
Running on an average height for the northern cornice of Bucharest, the two bodies with various apartments from One Herastrau Park building are made up aroud an empty space - a semi-public interior plaza. The plaza unifies, integrates and delineates the main-door access to the dwellings and the commercial areas on the ground floor, placing the construction in the urban landscape, permeating its base.
The composition achieved by the X Architecture team relies on a strong code of truth (as Ecco says) of the architect profession, namely that collective dwellings are a contemporary custom of the city structure. A problematic theme, a subject that calls for a critical reaction.
