The One Lake District project, which aims to revitalize the Tei and Plumbuita lake areas, is based on the belief that quality urban development is built through cooperation between the community, the business environment, institutions, and academia.
This initiative reflects the values of the new European Bauhaus, emphasizing aesthetics, sustainability, and inclusivity.
Mihai Toader-Pasti, sustainability consultant at One United Properties:
“One works with other companies, the business environment, local administrations, NGOs, academia, and citizens to achieve sustainable development.”
To ensure balanced development that brings real benefits to the entire community, the project has initiated a partnership between the public, private, and civil sectors, materialized through the UrbanizeHub platform. Young people are encouraged to present bold ideas and innovative solutions in a creative competition, with prizes totaling over 8,000 euros.
Diana Dobrin, urban innovator at UrbanizeHub:
“We started from the premise that, to have a better neighborhood, we need closer collaboration at the local level, between residents, businesses, institutions, and universities.”
One Lake District thus becomes an example of people-centered urban regeneration, where every voice matters and the future is built together.
