The production, created by the Teofor Education Association at the initiative of the National Heritage Institute, with the support of ONE, was screened on 19 September at the Romanian Embassy in France, as part of the 2026 European Heritage Days.
One United Properties (BVB: ONE), the leading green investor and developer of residential, office and mixed-use real estate in Romania, has contributed to the creation of the film documentary “Constantin Brâncuși 150”, a cultural project dedicated to the life and work of Romania’s most internationally renowned artist. Archive footage and documents gathered from Romania and from the world’s major cultural centres retell the story of the man who forever changed modern sculpture. The film, produced by the Teofor Education Association at the initiative of the National Heritage Institute, with the support of ONE, had its premiere screening in Paris, on 19 September, at the Romanian Embassy in France, as part of the 2026 European Heritage Days.
The premiere takes place in the context of the Constantin Brâncuși Year, through which Romania marks 150 years since the birth of the sculptor who changed the language of modern art, recognized as part of universal heritage. The choice of Paris for the first screening of the documentary holds a special significance, as this is the city where Brâncuși consolidated his artistic path and became one of the essential voices of European modern art. With more than 6,500 visitors, this year’s edition welcomed a broader audience than ever before and offered a meaningful opportunity to celebrate Brâncuși’s legacy and Romanian cultural heritage.
The documentary “Constantin Brâncuși 150” offers a comprehensive journey through the artist’s life and work, from his formative years in Romania to his rise within the major cultural circles of Paris and the international recognition he achieved in Europe and the United States. The film revisits the path of the child who left Hobița, Gorj, and went on to redefine twentieth-century sculpture through an artistic language built around simplicity. The production does not include dramatic reenactments or interventions that would alter the authenticity of the historical record, giving the viewer the rare opportunity to encounter Brâncuși through the authentic images of his time, to step into the atmosphere of his studio, his exhibitions and the era that consecrated him. The film thus evokes in an authentic manner the journey of an artist who had the courage to break free from academic conventions and seek the essence of form, transforming the Romanian experience into a universal artistic language. At the heart of the documentary are the creations that definitively changed modern art: The Kiss, Sleeping Muse, Mademoiselle Pogany, Bird in Space, as well as the monumental ensemble at Târgu Jiu – The Table of Silence, The Gate of the Kiss and The Endless Column – considered one of the masterpieces of twentieth-century monumental art.

It is the same conviction that guides us in projects such as One Gallery, where we are restoring the former Ford Factory, or One Athénée, where we are bringing a historic building in the centre of the Romanian capital back into public life”,

Through its support for the making of the documentary “Constantin Brâncuși 150,” One United Properties continues this line of engagement, extending its commitment to heritage from the built environment to the realm of cultural memory. The project contributes to the promotion of Romanian values within the European space and to strengthening the Romanian – French cultural dialogue, at a symbolic moment for Romania’s cultural identity.
