The sixth edition of the DEVO International Forum brought together specialists in the field under the Better City concept, to discuss vision, investments and how cities can be developed through joint effort.

Beatrice Dumitrașcu, CEO Residential Division One United Properties, was present as a speaker in the panel entitled "Developing the city", together with other developers and suppliers of construction systems and services. Mixed functions are perhaps one of the most important elements in current trends, as she pointed out. Combining collective housing with commercial spaces, facilities for education, health and spaces for sports and leisure are becoming the new standard of housing complexes. Without them, homes no longer have the same value. Mobility problems have exhausted the residents of Bucharest, so that proximity is a fundamental asset that wins when choosing a new home.

Another very interesting trend, for now specific and not generalized, is to develop through the deep rehabilitation of existing buildings or even protected heritage in exceptional positions in the city, as One United Properties is doing. These interventions solve from the start the problem of strengthening buildings with seismic risk, which otherwise, approached separately and singularly, are not economically supported.
