Ziarul Financiar organized on September 22 the sixth edition of the Conference "ZF Offices and Residential", discussing the status of the real estate market in 2020 and 2021 with the most important players in the field.

Beatrice Dumitrașcu, CEO Residential Division One United Properties pointed out that investors in the residential market buy according to their business model.

"There are investors who buy to resell, to make a quick profit, but there have been more and more investors who keep the properties they buy to develop the rental market, which is going to grow in our country as well. We do not currently have a strong rental market. In our country, the percentage of investors in this segment is 15-20%, but this includes both small investors who buy a block of flats, but also large ones who buy more properties.”

Beatrice Dumitrașcu also spoke about the success of One Cotroceni Park project, a mixed-use development with an innovative real estate concept:

One Cotroceni Park is a multifunctional development that integrates both office buildings and residential areas with 850 apartments. The project is a big surprise. In a month and a half, we sold almost 200 apartments and we still close signings there every day. The success is due to the fact that there is not such a big development there, and there are not so many new housing units. It is a young neighbourhood where there are no such developments, and people are looking for such projects. We began developing mixed-use projects long before the pandemic."
