In a recent analysis, CBRE (CBRE Group is the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm) observes that Romanians are getting increasingly active in the office market: over 200,000 sqm of projects announced for the next two years belong to local developers.
This interest is visible both in terms of building acquisitions and especially in terms of developing new projects. Two of the three most active developers in the coming years are companies with local capital, which aim to deliver about 200,000 sqm of offices between 2020-2021. According to data from the real estate consulting company CBRE., most of all these projects which will be developed by One United Properties.
Between 2020-2021, the company is to deliver a rentable area of over 125,000 sqm in three projects: One Cotroceni Park, One Tower and One Verdi Park (24,000 sqm).
“We are witnessing the development of major projects in terms of investments and facilities carried out by companies with 100% Romanian capital. One such example is One United Properties, which has expanded its portfolio in most office centers in Bucharest, from Pipera and Floreasca - Barbu Văcărescu, to Piața Victoriei and the center-west area. The confidence of the local developers in the real estate market represents a positive signal for the local business community, as well as for the international investors ”,
said Mihai Păduroiu, Head of Advisory & Transaction Office, CBRE Romania.
