The prestigious recognition, announced at the eighth edition of the Best Practices in Corporate Sustainability event in Bucharest, celebrates companies that have embraced and transparently reported their commitment to sustainable practices. Organized by The Azores Sustainability & CSR Services agency, the event highlighted the growing importance of sustainability in the corporate landscape.
The Azores Sustainability & CSR Services agency meticulously evaluated sustainability reports from major Romanian companies with a workforce of at least 500 employees. Using an exhaustive scorecard with 11 categories, 78 sustainability indicators, and 201 data points, the assessment considered factors such as corporate governance, diversity, economic impact, climate change, environmental practices, human rights, and anti-corruption policies.
One United Properties clinched the Silver Recognition category with an impressive score of 82 points. The company's commitment to sustainability is reflected in its sustainability reports, following the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. In 2022, the company took a significant step by measuring its carbon footprint for the first time, signalling a commitment to rigorous annual monitoring and efforts to reduce environmental impact.
