One United Properties (BVB: ONE), the leading green investor and developer of residential, mixed-use, and office real estate in Romania, announces that Equans, global leader in energy and technical services and part of the French giant Bouygues Group, is establishing its Romanian headquarters at One Cotroceni Park Office building, following the launch of a local IT hub and the start of the recruitment process. The Cushman & Wakefield Echinox real estate consultancy company, represented by Bogdan Bogatu, director Office Agency, advised Equans on the lease transaction of the 1,600 sq m of office space.
Equans IT Hub Romania, operational since March 2026, serves as a competence centre delivering advanced IT services including cybersecurity, data privacy with GDPR compliance, identity and access management, ERP solutions, and artificial intelligence innovations. The hub supports Equans entities across multiple countries, enhancing operational excellence for the Group’s global digital transformation agenda.
The company chose One Cotroceni Park for its new headquarters due to its integrated facilities, cutting-edge technologies, exceptional location on the city map, and excellent connectivity to key points of interest.
“We are delighted to welcome Equans to the One Cotroceni Park community at a time when an increasing number of companies are tailoring their local presence around teams and services with regional impact. For us, this choice confirms the demand for office spaces providing a complete ecosystem: real connectivity, robust sustainability certifications, integrated amenities, and a work environment designed for the health, efficiency, and retention of talent. One Cotroceni Park is itself a large-scale urban regeneration project, and its ability to attract such tenant companies supports our long-term strategy in the office segment”,
said Mihai Păduroiu, CEO of the Office & Commercial Division at One United Properties.
”We are proud to have established our IT Hub in Bucharest in One Cotroceni Park, leveraging its central location along its sustainable and innovative ambition. We are building on Romania’s strong and growing pool of talented professionals dedicated to driving innovation. We are convinced that our offices are at the core of Equans IT Romania employee experience as we intend to build a highly skilled team of more than 150 IT experts specializing in key domains such as cybersecurity, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. This enables us to deliver secure, high-impact solutions on a global scale”,
said Irina Ciucioi-Badea, Director of the Equans IT Hub Romania.
To support this growth, the company is actively recruiting across a wide range of critical roles, including IAM and PAM analysts and engineers, Cybersecurity Architects, Data Analysts, Salesforce Developers, ERP Senior Analysts, ERP Information Security Officers, and Vulnerability Analysts. These positions are essential to advancing the Group’s digital transformation and strengthening its security posture through innovation and operational excellence. ”Beyond technical expertise, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, agile, and collaborative work environment that offers continuous learning and long-term career development. By investing in local talent and creating a supportive environment, we not only strengthen our security and IT capabilities worldwide but also actively contribute to the growth of Romania’s IT sector”, Irina Ciucioi-Badea added.
“This transaction confirms Bucharest’s appeal for international companies that are expanding their footprint or establishing operations in Romania for the first time. Equans entry into the local market through a landmark project such as One Cotroceni Park highlights the Capital’s role as a regional hub for IT functions and high value-added services”,
said Bogdan Bogatu, Director Office Agency, Cushman & Wakefield Echinox.
The Class A office campus developed within One Cotroceni Park, a mixed-use urban regeneration development on the former Ventilatorul industrial site, is located near the Academia Militară metro station, close to Cotroceni Palace and the Botanical Garden. The office building is certified to LEED Platinum and WELL Health & Safety sustainability standards.
