In a recent interview with the publication Agenda Construcțiilor, Mihai Păduroiu explained the importance of sustainability in the real estate sector.
The CEO of Office Division One United Properties explained that all residential developments in the portfolio receive Green Gomes certification from the Romania Green Building Council, while office buildings benefit from the most rigorous certifications in terms of energy efficiency and safety at work, such as LEED Platinum or WELL Health & Safety.
"For example, One Tower, the office building part of the multifunctional development of One Floreasca City, is the first office building in Romania to obtain the LEED v4 Platinum Building Design and Construction certification, the highest level provided by this certification. We therefore pay close attention to this chapter and are pioneers in this regard. This year we also announced a partnership for LEED ZERO CARBON certifications and with Veolia Romania Integrated Solutions for the implementation of sustainable energy efficiency solutions in our residential developments - such as One Peninsula and One Lake District developments, which will benefit from a geoexchange heating and cooling system.”
