Forbes Life Romania's latest cover tells the story of Claudio Cisullo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of One United Properties and an investor who has shown his confidence in Romania by coming here to do solid, long-term business.
Claudio Cisullo is the founder and Chairman of CC Trust Group AG, an internationally active family office invested in biotech, commodities, leisure, pharmaceuticals, professional services, real estate, and technology sectors. He has over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, M&A, venture capital, and private equity, and has been an active investor in the Romanian residential and commercial property market for several years. Among other mandates, he is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Chain IQ Group AG, Chairman of ACC One Holding AG, member of the Board of Directors of Ringier AG, member of the Law and Economics Foundation at the University of St. Gallen, and member of the Board of the Swiss Entrepreneurs Foundation.
"Romania impressed me from the very beginning with an incredible energy", confesses Claudio Cisullo for Forbes, "especially in Bucharest. Romanians are warm-hearted people, who often remind me of Italy, a country where my family is rooted. The economic development of this country is captivating, and I knew from the first moment that I wanted to be part of the story of its development. The workforce is young, extremely dynamic, and has an impressive attitude, giving the impression that anything is possible. People want to achieve something; they want to make a better life - these are things that you really feel when you work or invest in Romania.”
Regarding the pandemic context and how it affected the business environment, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of One United Properties adds:
“2020 has been a difficult year for everyone. At the same time, however, it was a year that proved that knowing closely your business and understanding the environment in which you operate will help you keep under control and manage effectively even the most difficult situations. As an entrepreneur, I do not think that a new economic cycle should change our mentality. New trends appear, others gradually disappear - what we need to do is adapt to new circumstances. The only difference between the economic changes initiated by the global pandemic and any other economic cycle is that this time, we know exactly when the change took place.”
