This year's edition of the ZF event Office Trends for 2022 brought together real estate professionals, who expressed their views on the current situation of the office sector and its development prospects.

Mihai Păduroiu, CEO Office Division One United Properties, underlined the importance of investments in this field, in which the demand currently exceeds the market offer:

“There are companies on the market, such as Oracle, that grow by at least 1,000 employees every year. Where will these people work since we do not have any new buildings in the Barbu Văcărescu area and nothing of the latter comes in the Centre-West either? It would be useful to remind ourselves and the entire public and the private ecosystem, at least once a month, that investment is the key to any economy. If the economy does not grow through investment, everyone loses. We should become more responsible in this regard. For example, there is no delivery on the office market for the next three years. Infinitely smaller than the stock required. There are between 300,000 and 400,000 sqm of office space that have been traded on average in recent years annually.”

The office portfolio of the company currently includes 136K sqm of office space, including One Cotroceni Park, One Tower, One North Gate, and One Herăstrău Office.
