One United Properties is delighted to welcome Riad Abi Haidar to ONE family. Starting in February 2024, Riad Abi Haidar will join the company as partner in the hotel division. A passionate hotelier, executive director, strategic thinker, and entrepreneurial leader, Riad Abi Haidar has over 20 years of experience in the international hospitality industry, developing and operating unique lifestyle hotels in the Middle East and south Asia.
The first project that Riad Abi Haidar will conduct with One United Properties is the opening of Mondrian Bucharest, a highly exclusive lifestyle hotel in downtown Bucharest, close to the Romanian Athénée. Mondrian is not just a hotel; it's a lifestyle brand, promising a new era of sophisticated experiences and elevated living, that will contribute to making Bucharest and Romania more internationally known.
Internationally experienced Executive Director of Hospitality who has operated with the Middle East more than 15 years, he is currently working in Doha with Power International Holding. He is heading the hospitality division. He has been rewarded for developing Ultra luxury hotels with international operators in Doha prior to FIFA 2022, as well as in Maldives, Antigua and various GCC countries.
Establishing strong relationships with international hospitality management companies, he successfully managed the assets of the Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi, the leading luxury resort in Maldives. Riad aligned himself with prestigious brands such as EMAAR Hospitality Group, led many projects such as delivering quality excellence and financial returns, as well as participating in corporate strategies. He held the position of Complex General Manager of Address Boulevard & Address Dubai Mall Hotel, and prior to that, he was General Manager of Address Dubai Marina Hotel. As a GM of Vida Hotels and Resorts, the newly launched brand of Emaar Hospitality Group, he oversaw the latest brand’s flagship boutique Hotel, Manzil Downtown Dubai.
Citizen of the world, holding an MBA in hospitality management from Cesar Ritz University in Switzerland, Riad combines his hospitality expertise with commercial, financial, and strategic acumen to drive business transformations.
