While on the Western Europe real estate market one can quite rarely meet female figures in leadership roles, things are different in Romania, where career women are in charge of prolific businesses, at least over the past few years.
According to BREC (Bucharest Real Estate Club) estimations, women are in the top position on the local market in several companies with assets of over 5 billion euros.
The financial crisis changes have brought not only a more responsible growth and more quality products on the market but also numerous women promotions to management positions: from investment funds or development companies to financial institutions or consulting and law companies, as well as entrepreneurial businesses. Moreover, the BREC study reveals that Romanian women also hold global positions in the real estate field, such as Elisabeta Boşneag, Head of Global Real Estate at UiPath.
Beatrice Dumitrașcu, our VP Residential Division, was included in BREC’s special project dedicated to women leading important companies in the field. The passion for housing is the red thread of her over a 19-year career in real estate. Beatrice was happy to share stories about her experience over the years and speak about some of the outstanding projects she was involved in, such as One Herăstrău Park, One Charles de Gaulle, or One Herăstrău Plaza.
Cristina Căpitanu and Elena Oancea, the two founders of Lemon Interior Design, are also presented in this survey featuring 33 success stories, each of them a inspiration for young women starting their careers.
